Raising a Glass to California: CalRHA's Golden State Wine Reception at Apartmentalize 2026

Apartmentalize, the National Apartment Association's (NAA's) flagship conference and the largest gathering of the rental housing industry, brings together thousands of housing professionals, executives, and advocates from across the country. At this year's Apartmentalize held in New Orleans, CalRHA and its local affiliates debuted the Golden State Wine Reception, an invitation-only event of 100 attendees comprised of industry leaders and executives, property owners, and key stakeholders gathered to network, connect, and share best practices.
The turnout and energy of attendees in the room was a testament to what this industry looks like when it comes together with purpose. Conversations spanned policy, strategy, relationships, and the future of rental housing in the Golden State.
Events like this don't just happen. They're built on relationships, and the Golden State Wine Reception was a powerful reminder of why face time matters. In advocacy, who you know, who knows you, and the coalition of industry voices are what make the difference.

Visibility, Voice, and Momentum
For CalRHA and its affiliates in attendance -- including the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles (AAGLA), the Apartment Association of Orange County (AAOC), and the Southern California Rental Housing Association (SoCalRHA), and the North Valley Property Owners Association (NVPOA) -- the reception was an opportunity to amplify visibility on a national stage with current and prospective members from every corner of the State. Our presence at Apartmentalize signals that California's rental housing providers are organized, influential, and engaged.
That visibility translates directly into three pillars that drive our strategic plan and mission:
Advocacy
The more members we have, the louder our voice in Sacramento and in Washington. Every conversation at an event like this is a potential rallying point around shared objectives. Whether the issue is rent control, just cause eviction policy, or local restrictions, our strength lies in numbers and unity.
Membership and Revenue Growth
Apartmentalize is the ideal setting for membership and sponsorship outreach. When prospective members and sponsors see CalRHA engaging on a national platform – such as hosting events, connecting with NAA leadership, and building coalitions – they see an organization worth joining. The Golden State Wine Reception gave attendees a firsthand look at the CalRHA network in action.
Political Fundraising
A robust PAC is one of our most important tools for protecting rental housing providers at the ballot box and in the halls of the legislature. Engaged members who feel connected to the mission are far more likely to invest in our political efforts. Events like this build the relationships and enthusiasm that fuel giving.
Showcasing CalRHA's Partnership with NAA
Affiliations matter and the reception was an opportunity to reinforce our relationship with NAA. Our national affiliation isn't just a logo on a letterhead, it's a partnership that gives California's rental housing providers access to federal advocacy resources, industry research, professional education, and a peer network of housing leaders nationwide. The Golden State Wine Reception was a chance to show that relationship in action.
Thank You
None of this happens without the people who show up and invest in the mission. A sincere thank you to our Gold Sponsor, zInspector Property Management Solutions, and our Silver Sponsor, Anchor Utility. Your support made this event possible and reflects a shared commitment to the health of California's rental housing industry.
To our Board members, association executives, and affiliate members: your presence speaks volumes about the strength of our organization.
To the NAA team, thank you for allowing us to be a part of Apartmentalize.
To every attendee, thank you for being part of the conversation and for representing California's rental housing community with distinction.
The Golden State Wine Reception was more than a gathering. It was a statement that CalRHA and its affiliates are unified, visible, and leading the fight for the future of rental housing in California.
